Help a Mom Out: She writes: My stepson has ADHD, ODD, and a child form of PTSD (from the living situation\life he had with his bio mom) My son is taking some medication for the ADHD and sees his psychologist on a regular basis but the last month or so he has literally been like Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde. He is so good at home for the most part, he forgets to do his chores at home like any other kid but other than that he is good. When he is at school however, its like hes a totally different kid. Today for example; he woke up got himself ready for school, made his cereal and made his lunch like every morning (he gets mad at his dad and I if we do it for him and we figure its teaching him responsibility so who cares if he gets two yogurts some days haha) his dad and I dropped him off school he was happy and excited to have a good day today. Well when I went to pick him up this was the list of things that happened in class: -He said I will kill everyone\hate everyone -Hit his head on his desk -I want to kill myself -Throwing things -Yelling -Writing on his desk -Screaming -Hit the teacher (3 times) -Breaking Pencils, Crayons, etc -Ripped his classwork (4 times) -Threw the school box -Threw his glasses across the room Thankfully the school has been extremely understanding about his ADHD, ODD etc. and has made numerous attempts to help my husband and myself in any way possible to make my son more comfortable try to work with him instead of writing him up but I am at my breaking point as well as his teacher. He just has zero respect for anyone at school and goes all hulk on everyone. He is not this way at home at all, and not with his friends or his siblings at home either. Does anyone have to deal with anything like this and if so what do you try to do? thank you so much and im sorry about it being so long Signed, I love my child but enough is enough
