I am currently recruiting participants for my dissertation study on Asian American womens social attitudes towards beauty standards, race and body image. Ψ Little research has paid attention to Asian American women due to the belief that body image issues affect only White women. Ψ The lack of understanding leads to underreporting of problems from individuals, as well as under/mis-diagnosting and mistreatment from the health providers.
