Asifa is a person of many dimensions. He’s the UK’s first Muslim drag queen. He’s also an articulate spokesperson for LGBTI equality and for the LGBTI Muslim community. It would have a HUGE positive impact to have an openly gay Muslim person represent Britain at Eurovision next year. Gay Muslims are hardly heard in the media.
