Help get justice for Titus! My neighbors that have known my family for over 20 years put down the family dog! They claim that they caught him attacking and destroying their 10 year old goat. Titus is well known in our neighborhood for being a kind friendly dog. Since we have had him, he has gone to our neighbors house every year during hunting season to pick at the carcasses of animals that litter their yard. If they have had the goat for 10 years, why would Titus all of a sudden decide to eat it? We live in a neighborhood where mountain lions live. Leaving lifeless animals in your yard attracts predators! I believe that Titus was wrongfully accused of eating their goat, so they put him rather than calling the authorities or using other means to remove him from their property! We live in the state of TX where people believe it is ok to just destroy a dog that poses a threat to their live stock! I do not think that is the case, and believe that if the dog is deemed a threat, there should be an investigation and if he is to be put down it should be humanely! These people took the life of our dog, dumped him in a ditch, and never said a word to us about it while we searched frantically for our beloved pet! They heard our screams for him, saw us search the entire neighborhood and said nothing until my father in law knocked on a door long enough and was brought to his dead dog! After he had the dog in his arms and began to walk off their property, the owner of the property threatened him to leave his property as soon as possible! Our family does not have a lot of money, and it is right before Christmas! I just cant believe this has happened! Our dog is no longer with us and I seek justice for our sweet Titus! Please help me to find an attorney that deals with these kinds of situations and can help us to make sure that people are aware that such situations are unacceptable! If you have any advice for us or know someone that can help, please let me know! I want these people to be charged and punished to the fullest extent of the law! They deserve much worse!
