Don’t block the sight to save your conscience Gape into her eyes as you strike her unconscious Remember the way she looks as she struggles for last breath Strike her harder, her broken hands cannot protect her face …Laugh at her when you find her to be a mess as the crimson soaks her once ebony tress image Help her focus on the pain so that soon she may forget That she will never again hold her children to her breast …or kiss their sleepy eyes as she checked their breathing chest Remember her eyes as she cries her last cries hear her pleas ring through the jeers of the hallowed crowds See her face ever-present on the nights you cannot sleep …and dread her unsightly visits – on the nights when slumber’s deep image
