Help please. A friend of mine is doing some work in Aspatria. It is about 5 miles north of the Lake District. Near Cockermouth. Can you recommend any decent pubs to stay at the north end of the Lake District. It would be two weekday nights at the end of January. His requirements are decent pub with decent grub. So far he has found a pub near Carlisle Station which is 20 miles away! Any ideas?
