Help, please! I am a fairly new rider and am looking for a vintage standard naked street bike as a starter bike. My husband just got a deal on a 91 Suzuki VX800. I love the look and style but want something a tad smaller - really like the Honda Nighthawk 650 and am looking for one in the Richmond, VA area - or anywhere in VA, under $2000 in decent shape. I cant tell you how much time Ive wasted looking at bikes on Craigslist that are staged beautifully and advertised in excellent condition, only to go look at them and find they need LOTS of work, are missing parts, have been dropped and dented, bent handlebars, gas tank rusted through and leaking, pics advertised are 10 years old - seen it all. Im not a collector - I just want a decent bike to RIDE and give a loving home! I would appreciate any leads on bikes that any of you might know of that are available within a reasonable driving distance in my area. Thanks!
