Help support Director, Anita Chang, and this latest project, Tongues of Heaven! Tongues of Heaven Interactive is an interactive documentary web platform designed to raise awareness about language endangerment and revival through the sharing of personal stories, insights and creative participation. Education scholar Mark Warchauer notes that the survival of languages depends not so much on numbers of speakers but on will and transmission. He says that new media, such as the Internet, can assist with transmission but more importantly, it can impact will. This can be done through creative dialogue that generates value and pride in ones heritage languages. Our goal of $28,000 will go towards the design, building and sustaining of the interactive multimedia experience of the documentary Tongues of Heaven, and access to educational and community resources pertaining to language preservation. This includes covering the following fees: Producer/Director/Editor, Interactive Producer, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Developer, Community Management, and Web Hosting/bandwidth.
