Help the Ferrante Family. This is a request for help from a California horsemans family. And George Ferrante had been one of the best representatives all over the world for both the NRCHA and the NCHA. It is a frightening thing to watch an active, healthy and strong person go from riding, showing, and judging to being unable to do any of those things because of illness. It not only affects the sick person, but the entire family and business. You think you have enough money for emergencies, but you never anticipate just how much the cost will be. You not only have the medical bills and lost wages of one person, but you also have the lost wages of the caregiver and the emotional strain is enormous. You wonder how you will ever make it through. We have experienced first hand what it is like to have medical issues. Pete was diagnosed with vertigo over three years ago. He lost his judging cards, was able to ride less and less, and has not driven since then. He has been accused of being lazy, a drunk, and a drug addict. Some days he could not walk. Some days he fell and hit his head and I had to clean up the blood. Some days he could not keep any food down and he lost 50 pounds. The stress surely contributed to my cancer, which has cost me months of my life. People have accused us both of faking of our illnesses. We have had to sell our ranch, horses, trucks, trailers and equipment and now have to move. Please dont let this happen to the Ferrante Family. Give because it is needed, not because you know them, or like them, or want to post a video on Facebook. They are asking for $10,000 and in reality need about 10 times that. Dont wait until it is too late.
