Helpful Advice Hello all, now that I have had my feet firmly planted on this earth now for fifty years, I have discovered that there are a few topics that I am always asked for advice on. One of them is cars and car maintenance and the other is on simple home repairs. So when I can, I will try to post a simple solution to what may be an everyday problem that you may have. Please feel free to ask me questions about problems you may be having around the house…. Please don’t ask me life questions, cause not sure I have that all figured out yet, ask me those in another fifty years…lol Lets start today of with a car issue. Its not really a car question as such, but something that can help you cope with the high price of getting your car repaired. Unless you do all your repairs yourself, there is going to be a time that you need to take it to a mechanic and of course we all know that’s not cheap. Here is my advice…. Once you pick up your car after saying you had to replace the transmission, or the rack and pinion went bad….. after throwing that Visa card down on the counter for that $1500+ invoice and driving away from the shop, take my advice and take your car directly to a detail shop.. Yes, that’s what I said, spend a little more money on that hootenanny and get it fully detailed. Why do you ask? Well if after dropping that large chunk of change down on a repair that you can’t see, it helps if you look around your car after a full detail… it kind of feels like a new car again. Face it, if you spend a bunch of money and all you see is old McDonalds and Burger King wrappers on the floor, you don’t get the “new car” feeling. And guys, if you’re taking your wife’s car in for repair, take it and get it detailed afterwards. It will show that you not only care about her security and safety, but it will also show that you care about her comfort.
