Helping Ugandans in need has always been my passion.I have accomodated so many Ugandans in Johannesbuirg and in Pretoria of which a few come back to thank me after settling but i dont feel betrayed by those who dont come back though some return to me with different problems. I think that im the first Ugandan to work as a caretaker of a block of flats and here I houseless Ugandans for free.I gave them food and drinks and my place in an outskirt called Orange Groove was popularly known among Ugandans as Ewobote meaning that Obotes home.Im not sure whether they called it so because of my direct links with the former President, the portrait of his that proudly hung on my wall or both.U to my flat with drinks meat to brai by my place just to have company with me.I eventually lost my job and ended up on the streets of Johannesburg for keeping people in a flat for free and instead of being helped by all those Ugandans who wined and dined with me they instead called me names loughed alot and avoided me till a South African woman of Zimbabwe origin picked me up and kept me in her flat out of sympathy. She however ended up givi8ng me a son David who is now 13. In Pretoria i have kept so many ugandans which annoys some of my friends who insist that im foolishly used.I was once told that there is a Ugandan trained lawyer who was crooked and brought to south africa for a good job that didnt exist and that he was sleaping in a bar sitted looking on as people enjoyed their drinks till 2am when the bar would close then he gets out to sleap on the entrance.I looked for him and when i found him i bought him a hot plate of food and a cold drink, took him home and clothed and kept him for three months.he later got a job in Pretoria where i live and work but its now four years down the line but im still waiting for him to just pay me a visit. I have always looked at it as my calling to look after people without expecting a refund and its along those lines that i can assure the people of kabale municipality that should they elect me to parliament in 2016 their lives will never be the same.I will look after them and i swear upon God that ill always be there for them right through.
