Helping someone need not be dramatic, nor a huge favor. Yesterday, an old couple was having trouble flagging cabs. The man was having trouble standing with a cane, the woman seemed to be slow at putting up her hand. I was walking my dog. A man with a dog might turn cabs away! But for 50 meters I just kept looking for a chance to help. One finally showed up and I was able to catch the drivers attention to direct him to the couple. They were already tired and gratefully struggled into the cab, so they never turned to thank me. Nevertheless, the feeling of satisfaction remained and the walk was just enhanced by the satisfaction. See? Nothing dramatic and earth-shaking, but still there is happiness. :)
