Henry Winkler Joins the Guest List for the 2014 Cincinnati Comic Expo Famed Actor, Producer, and Children’s Book Author to Meet Fans in Cincinnati There will surely be “Happy Days” in the Queen City this September as we announce Henry Winkler is the newest Media Guest to attend the 2014 Cincinnati Comic Expo! Henry Winkler’s portrayal as “Arthur ‘Fonzie’ Fonzarelli” is one of the most iconic pop culture characters in the history of American television. “The Fonz” was so popular from the set and story of “Happy Days,” that he made appearances on several other television programs including episodes of “Laverne and Shirley,” “Mork and Mindy,” “Joanie Loves Chachi,” and “The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang.” The weekend of the Cincinnati Comic Expo will hold a special anniversary for “Fonzie” and television history. Saturday, September 20, 2014, will mark the 37th anniversary of the airing of the “Happy Days” episode in which his character jumps over a shark; a moment which changed television cliffhanger history. Fans also recognize Winkler from several films on the silver screen, such as “Principal Arthur Himbry,” one of the victim’s in the horror thriller “Scream” and from many Adam Sandler movie productions such as “The Waterboy,” “Little Nicky,” “Click,” “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan,” and “Here Comes the Boom.” Most recently, Henry is a regular on many current television shows including “Parks and Recreations,” “Royal Pains,” “Children’s Hospital,” and “Hank Zipzer.” Henry is credited with nearly 100 other films and shows. Besides acting, Winkler is also a producer and director. He was an Executive Producer for the cult hit “MacGyver” television series and 3 made for TV movies. Henry Winkler is also a children’s book author. Hank Zipzer: The Mostly True Confessions of the World’s Best Underachiever and Hank Zipzer: The World’s Best Underachiever is a book series about a young boy growing up with dyslexia. The character is based off of Winkler’s own dealings with dyslexia and ADHD. The book series has now started into a television series. Winkler joins an All-Star cast of Media Guests for the 2014 Cincinnati Comic Expo. Other guests currently attending are Peter Mayhew and Dave Prowse of “Star Wars,” “Firefly’s” Jewel Staite, Lou Ferrigno of “The Incredible Hulk,” “Frozen’s” Livvy Stubenrauch, John Rhys-Davies from “Lord of the Rings,” “The Hobbit’s” William Kircher, Paul McGann, the 8th incarnation of “Dr. Who,” and Jason David Frank and Walter Jones of “mighty Morphin Power Rangers.” About Cincinnati Comic Expo The Cincinnati Comic Expo has been entertaining thousands of fans since 2010 with an annual show celebrating all periods and genres of pop culture with an emphasis on comics.
