Her boyfriend of one year suddenly became ‘too busy’ for their ‘usual activities;’ he would neither visit her nor let her come over (to his house), claims his job now takes him out of town. On the night that she could not bear it anymore, she called me up and said that she was determined to find out what was wrong. She was going over to his house(that night)-uninvited! Having read the writing on the wall, I asked her just one question and that is, ‘Can you accept whatever you see at his place tonight?’ Less than two hours later, she was at my door. What happened? She could not even get herself to alleviate my ‘itchy ear’ because she kept saying ‘you can’t imagine the cheap pant I saw on his bed.’ Then she went on and on about ‘cheap pant this and cheap pant that’. When I could not hold my tongue anymore, I quipped, ‘But that cheap pant is now his choice, can we now concentrate on dealing with it? There are some relationship boundaries that a lady should never allow herself to cross. If a man has not given you the spare key to his house, please do not venture near his house uninvited. Eight out of 10 ladies that have made that mistake (to the best of my knowledge) didn’t like what hit them.When you are in a relationship with somebody, never you for any reason allow yourself to settle into the understanding that ‘you have arrived’, so ‘he/she ain’t going anywhere’.
