She has mastered almost all high school sports, taken dual-enrollment classes through the College of Central Florida and is attending the University of Florida in the fall. But school has not been simple for 17-year-old Bethany Smith of Inverness. “I have been having seizures and the doctors are not sure why,” the Citrus High School student said. “I was tested positive for Lyme Disease and Epstein-Barr virus all at once. They have induced a lot of chronic fatigue. The doctors wonder how I make it to class. But my fiancé, Coleton Butler, drives me to Ocala every day as I drag myself out of bed.
