Herat Zoonotic Committee Meeting (30 Dec 2014) at DEWS Department of the Heat Provincial Public Health Office; Zoonotic Committee is considered as the official platform for implementation of the one health concept;one of the strongest forum for decision making, planning and implementation of Zoonotic Disease Control and Prevention Measures. This meeting is leaded by MoPH and MAIL in round and conducted in each 2 months . In this meeting the members planed that jointly prepare one health proposals for Priority Zoonotic Disease including CCHF, Rabies, Brucellosis, Q Fever and Anthrax which remained under diagnosed and the public health concerns with negative consequences. The leadership of the meeting was handed over to MAIL since 2015. It is about 2 years since establishment of this committee in Herat province and had very big achievements including community training on hygiene and sanitation, implementation of CCHF control measures in at least 50 villages, joint training for community health workers, joint investigation of the Zoonotic disease outbreaks, and many others are of few examples of the Zoonotic committee activities
