Hercules : The Review youve been waiting! (Sort of) So I spent the night smelling what the Rock was cooking, and it was lamb & dolmades. Which is cool because I love em. This movie has a huge portion of cheese, but thats cool too because I love Feta as well. In the movie Rockules cruises around bludgeoning people with a big ass club(not a gay party location). It had all the epic fight scene awesomity I expected, plus some glorified stunts and graphics. Rockules Merrymen + Chickolas(lady legolas) were pretty cool too, in an omg she shoots everything a lot and still decapitates people with her super flimsy bow. This movie is full of what I have dubbed RAV moments (Random Acts of Violence). Which is probably why I went, I certainly didnt go to see the romance version. The monster value was sweet, even sweeter when you discover theyre not necessarily monsters. Graphics were mostly good. There are no boobs in this movie, unless they were absolutely forgetful, but I think thats technically impossible. So there were no boobs. On the positive side there was no sparkly vampires too, so win win. People tend to be very stupid in these movies, which makes you okay with them being splattered. Many of them end up being splattered, quite graphically. You assume that people are intelligent enough to not cause trouble with a guy who kicks people 20 feet, mid cartwheel while his buddies pinpoint endless supplies of throwing daggers and arrows into eye sockets. Clearly they are not. The storyline was okay but predictable, the premise was cool. I loved the idea that you can be a hero if you choose to. Guyness rating 12 out of 10 RAVs. Dropped some points for a lack of boobs. Gained some for the people eyebrow. Lady rating 3 out of 10. Plus some for men in skirts. Entertainment value : worth all the chick flicks I gotta sit through for taking my wife to see it. :D
