Here I am back home safe and sound after my 14,500klm trip around Australia on the 2014 Black Dog Ride Around Australia. What a fantastic journey and great fellow rider. Sadly my RT suffered a hiccup hitting a emu in north West Australia, the emergency Spyder repair kit came in very handy and saw me able to ride it to Perth for repair etc. (Kit - Duck Tap, cable ties, small drill) After running repairs at Savage Cycles Perth given the OK to ride to Sydney off I went again arriving in Sydney after a wonderful trip. Left machine at Western Motorcycles for assessment and repair to find out the decision to repair or rite-off will be made by the insurance co-. Rite-off, it apears along with plastic and wind shield damage the frame is twisted also. Is the Spyder a good machine? I would say it is a great machine for if i was on 2 wheels I would not be here now, the plastic absorbed the impact and the styling picked up the emu and directed over my head taking the radio areal with it. Can-Am Job Well Done!
