Here I am, having lived more than ten thousand days, having survived around forty airplane crashes, thousands of car accidents and a similar number of fires, gunshots, seizures and overdoses. Today, a comet didnt fall from the sky to crush me in my bed; blood didnt clot near the heart; I didnt sink. But what good is a life spent in apprehension? Look at the texture of the night and tell me if it has value; a certain blessing well disguised. So maybe you shouldnt worry so much. In fact, you should look forward to it. When the plane is rocketing back into the Earth and the clouds are sliding past you, and people are screaming and praying, I dont see a reason why you cant look out of the window and say the secret word, out loud but softly. - Omar Khalifa
