Last time they organised this quadrennial 50-over event was in 1992 # World Cup 2015 will be held from February 14 to March 29, 2015 # 14 teams (10 Full Members of ICC and 4 qualifiers) will be participating. 49 matches will be played over 44 days # Teams are divided into two groups. Top 4 from Pool A and B will make it to the quarter-finals, which will be a knockout stage # 14 venues (7 each in Australia and New Zealand) will host the matches # In Australia, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney will be the venues # Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Napier, Nelson and Wellington are the New Zealand cities # Australia will host 26 matches while New Zealand has got 23 # Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will be the venue for the final. MCG had hosted the 1992 final too # Semi-finals (March 24 and 26) will be played in Auckland and Sydney.
