Here are a few updates, which include two multi alarm fires in the Baltimore area. July 29th 0445hrs Mechanicsville, St. Mary’s County | DWELLING FIRE | 40400blk Bay Drive | Companies arrived with a fully involved 2 story single-family dwelling. Command reported exterior attack only. July 28th 2330hrs Rosedale, Baltimore County | DWELLING FIRE | 5700blk Van Dyke Road | Companies arrived to a 2 story duplex with fire from a 2nd floor rear bedroom. Fire was quickly knocked down. 1800hrs Taneytown, Carroll County | COMMERCIAL FIRE | 2900blk Francis Scott Key Highway | Companies were originally dispatched for an automatic fire alarm. Crews arriving with smoke showing from all sides of FP Duffy Inc. requesting the full box alarm and RIT to be dispatched. NFI 1710hrs Ocean City, Worcester County | DWELLING FIRE | 10500blk Keyser Point Road | Companies arrived with smoke showing from a single-family dwelling. Crews gained entry and located a fire in the laundry room. 1555hrs Box 57-4, Baltimore City | 2ND ALARM DWELLING FIRE | 1600blk Locust Street | Companies arrived with heavy smoke showing from side A and fire showing from side C of 2 story middle of the group dwelling. The fire spread to both the B and D exposures on multiple floors. Command requested the 2nd alarm and additional medic due to an injured firefighter who was transported priority 2 to the hospital. We are unsure of the extent of the firefighters injuries but we are told that it is non-life threatening injuries. All of the fire was knocked down in about 45 minutes. 0955hrs Box 20-18, Baltimore City | COMMERCIAL FIRE | 1900blk Rosedale Street | Companies arrived with fire in a 1 story vacant commercial building. July 27th 2215hrs Warwick, Cecil County | BARN FIRE | 900blk Cecilton Warwick Road | Companies arrived with heavy fire from a metal barn. Command requested additional brush trucks and tankers to the scene. 2140hrs Dundalk, Baltimore County | 3RD ALARM COMMERCIAL FIRE | 7100blk Sollers Point Road | Companies arrived with heavy fire from a vacant 5 story block building. 1 person was removed from the building. Crews set up defensive operations. About 30 minutes into command requested the 3rd alarm as the fire continued to burn. There was a particle collapse of the building. There was some extension to some buildings attached. 2040hrs Box 14-6, Baltimore City | DWELLING FIRE | S Monroe Street and Wilhelm Street | Companies arrived with fire showing from the 2nd floor of 2 story end of the group dwelling.
