Here are all our previews and selections for a good Sunday of racing: SALE Race 2 – Firmitas, Rapete, Endevinalles, Gift From Heaven Top Tip: No.4 Firmitas – Been runner up at past couple of starts, bumped into a very smart one 2 back before just missing last time. Weak race, looks his race to lose. Danger: No.2 Rapete – Ran well here 2 back before running okay in town behind a smart horse, this is easier and should figure in the finish. Race 5 – St Issey, The Principal, Alt Control, Lucks a Fortune Top Tip: No.5 St Issey – Should appreciate the big drop back in class from her good recent form in town. Danger: No.2 The Principal – Has been awful at his past couple over 2400m, his win 3 starts back this trip was very good. Should enjoy the drop in class and run much better today. Race 6 – Edgewood, You Tell Me, Timber Cat, Nice and Neat Top Tip: No.1 Edgewood – Frustraing galloper who has plenty of ability but keeps bo,bing the start, has been going okay in town and has not seen a field like this for a long time. Should be winning if he runs up to his best. Danger: No.4 You Tell Me – Close up at past couple of starts, latest in a good form race. Gets a nice run today and looks the only real danger to the toppie. Race 7 – Solsay, Nicholls Court, About Square, Undeniably Top Tip: No.4 Solsay – Going super this prep, he lifted last start to win, was competitive in Group races prior. Should be on speed and hard to beat. Danger: No.6 Nicholls Court – Form is excellent without winning, 3rd behind Lankan Rupee and 2nd to Kaiser Sun look good. This trip suits so should be finishing off strongly. Race 8 – Crooner, Il Diamante, Ossenhagen, Dangerous Spin Top Tip: No.1 Crooner - Has been ultra-impressive winning his first 2 starts in comfortable fashion, this is his hardest test to date but he look well and truly up to it. Danger: No.8 Il Diamante – Resuming. Bolted in on debut before finding one to good at Sandown. Unknown on the dry but looks talented enough to be in the finish. BEST BET: Race 2 no.4 Firmitas BEST EACHWAY: Race 5 no.5 St Issey BEST ROUGHIE: Race 7 no.6 Nicholls Court BEST QUINELLA: Race 2 Firmitas/Rapete BEST TRIFECTA: Race 8 – 1,8,2,4 QUADDIE: 2,5,10/1,4/3,4,6,11/1,2,8 TERANG Race 1 – Gold Rises, Change Course, Bienvenido, Brief Event Top Tip: No.3 Gold Rises – Going well lately, no luck last time when trapped deep but battled on well. This is a horribly weak race, only needs to race up to recent runs to win. Danger: No.5 Change Course – Poor here last time, previous runs where just okay. Would not have met a field this weak so must rate as some hope. Race 2 – Racing Harada, Dancing May, Anvil Green, Bel’s Lad Top Tip: No.4 Racing Harada – Been going pretty well of late, bit stiff last time when held up before finishing well. Not much improvement needed for him to go close. Danger: No.6 Dancing May – Resumes. Went around a very short priced fave on debut but was poor. Must have shown some ability at home for the stable to continue with her and this is not an overly strong race. Race 3 – Dancing Darci, Sharp Looker, Sassy Ann, Are The Bungs In Top Tip: No.9 Dashing Darcy – Very good 2 back when making good ground then just plodded last time in a good race. Blinkers on should sharpen her up today. Danger: No.6 Sharp Looker – Been good both runs this prep, running on well at both of them, out to 1400m looks a big plus. Race 4 – Antikita, Melody Rock, So You’re Pius, Matarie Top Tip: No.2 Antikita – Took a long time to break her maiden status but this looks a perfect race for her to make it 2 on the trot. Was good 2nd behind Not A Llama 2 back before winning last time, that form looks more than good enough for this field. Danger: No.1 Melody Rock – Was going okay at early runs this prep before a shocker last time, if he can find that 1st up effort behind Clairvaix he is a big chance in this race. Race 5 – Rural Focus, Forgeress, East Star, Sylvan Power Top Tip: No.4 Rural Hunter – Resuming. Form so far in his career is excellent, was beaten by 2 good horses before bolting in over Inkjet Sprinter (now going very well) Should go close. Danger: No.8 Forgeress – Bolted in 3 back and since has been running on very strongly in races of this level. Will settle back but the long straight will suit her style. Race 7 – Denpasar, Jaya’s Kiss, Prophecy, Sir Benjamin Top Tip: No.6 Denpasar – Form looks poor but this is a fair drop in grade. Flogged in a smart field last time, was okay behind Adirondack 2 back, was placed at 0-64 grade 4 back. Expect improvement at odds. Danger: No.7 Jaya’s Kiss – Impressed when winning maiden 2 starts back over 1000m and then struggled at 0-64 level last time. Back to 0-58 suits as will the extra trip. BEST BET: Race 5 no.4 Rural Hunter BEST EACHWAY: Race 3 no.9 Dashing Darci BEST ROUGHIE: Race 7 no.6 Denpasar BEST QUINELLA: Race 2 Racing Harada/Dancing Amy BEST TRIFECTA: Race 5 – 4,8,5,7 QUADDIE: 1,2/4,6,7,8/1,2,3,4,6,8/3,5,6,7 HOBART Race 4 no.1 The Cleaner – Very good run at Flemington last start when going out with a big lead and only caught late. He should have no trouble beating this lot Race 5 – Hennessy Rock, Admiral, Geegees Doublejay, Don’t We Love It Top Tip: No.6 Hennessy Rock – Victorian visitor who was very good when 3rd behind one of the Blue Diamond fancies, looks to have good ability and should be hard to beat. Danger: No.2 Admiral – Very good local 2yo who bounced back to his best form last time with a very easy win. Should have all the other local horses covered. Race 6 no.1 Grand Tycoon – Much better suited back to this trip after battling on well over 1400m last time. Looks to have a bit of a class edge on his rivals and meets them all well at the weights. Race 7 no.1 Rainbow Storm – Should just go on his winning ways, he has led and bolted in by huge margins at his past couple and this is no harder. Race 8 – Miss Stellabelle, Kneeling, Rebel Bride, Terra Amata Top Tip: No.2 Miss Stellabelle – Took on some of the best mares in the land last prep, her last start was a 1.8L defeat behind Red Tracer, should appreciate this sort of race 1st up. Danger: No.4 Kneeling – Looked home 1st up but peaked on her run at the 100m, was good out to 1400m last time. Back to the sprint trip is no issue for her. BEST BET: Race 7 no.1 Rainbow Storm BEST EACHWAY: race 5 no.6 Hennessy Rock MULTI BET: The Cleaner/Rainbow Storm/Grand Tycoon
