Here are some Australites/Tektites I have collected over the years, some are from the West coast of Tassie ( smaller buttons) , The larger Buttons and the Dumbbells are all from Central West Australia from around the edges of the salt lakes of Lake Carey, Mt Margaret, Lake Rae side, their colour stands out very well against the salt, they seem to float along the top of the saltpans many of them are from the Northern areas of the lakes it seems that the prevailing Southerly/South western winds blow them to the edges of the salt lakes making them a bit easier to locate ,if you know where to look !! sizes vary from 15x10mm for the small ones up to 30x18mm for the lge buttons, the Dumbells are up to 45x15mm
