Here are some borrowed shots of Shenzhen, for your perusal till I get a chance to buy a camera. I live and work in the citys Futian and Luohu areas, near the famous Di Wang Center and the Mix C Mall. Here there are a Wal-Mart, many Starbucks and McDonalds and several KFCs, not to mention lots of places with names I cant pronounce and food that I dont know how to order. In many Chinese restaurants Ive visited, I might as well have asked for Forrest Gumps box of chocolates, for all what I got resembled what I thought I was requesting. But generally, whatever Ive tried tasted pretty good--even if I had to spit out lots of bones.
