Here are some of the best known and worshiped trinities for humanity through the ages: INDIA - BRAHMA, VISHNU and SHIVA. EGYPT - Osiris, Isis and Horos. CHINA - BRAHMA, SHIVA and BUDA. PERSIA - OZMUD, ARIHMAN and MITRE. Germania - VOTE, and FRIGA DINAR. GREECE - Zeus, Demeter and Dionysus. CANAAM - Baal, Astarte and ADONIS. UMBANDA - IAMBY (Zamby), and YEMANJA Orixalá (or HOPEFULLY). BABYLON - EA, ISTAR and Tammuz. CELTIC -VOLTAN, FRIGA and DINAS. ROMAN CHRISTIAN - FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT Etc ... It all started at the Council of Nicaea: By the fourth century, some ecclesiastics, including the young archdeacon Athanasius argued that Jesus and God were the very same person. On the other hand, men such as the presbyter Arius clung to the biblical position that Jesus was created by God and was subordinate to his Father. 325 AD-met at Nicaea, Asia Minor, an ecclesiastical council convened by Roman Emperor Constantine to resolve such issues. In this council, the pagan emperor Constantine favored the side of Athanasius. Therefore, the concepts expressed by Arius were declared heretics. Then followed a try words and phrases sharpening to design a creed as a tool to be used against those who claimed that Christ began and was not consubstantial with the Father. Creed or the Nicene Symbol, in its original form, intended If the fight clearly the position of Arius. Concluded with the following statement, which was later excluded from the creed: But those who say that there was a time that did not exist; or that did not exist before it is generated; or that what was done had no beginning; or who assert that the Son of God is any substance or essence, or created, or variable, or changeable, these are anathematized [cursed] the Catholic and Apostolic Church. - MClintock & Strongs Cyclopedia, Volume 2, pages 559-563. Noteworthy is also the fact that the original Nicene creed drafted in did not attribute personality to the Holy Spirit. However, later additions believed to have been made by the Council of Constantinople in 381 AD, did it. The creed or symbol written in Nicea in AD 325, with subsequent amendments, passed into history as the Nicene Creed. Reads as follows: I believe in one God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of God, born of the Father before all ages; God from God, Light from Light, true God of true God; begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father, by whom all things were made; Who because of us men and because of our salvation came down from heaven and, by virtue of the Holy Spirit, took flesh of the Virgin Mary and was made man. Also, was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered and was buried; and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven; sitteth at the right hand of his Father and will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. And (I believe) in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and life-giving, who proceeds from the Father and the Son; which is both the Father and the Son, adored and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And in one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic. I confess one baptism for the remission of sins and look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the coming century. Amen. After carefully reading the Nicene Creed, it is interesting that it still does not completely define the Trinity. States that the Father and the Son are of the same substance, and the Holy Spirit is called Lord and quickening, but does not say that these three are one God. Still had to be more experience words and phrases sharpening. The Athanasian Creed Is the Symbol or Creed of Athanasius that finally defines the Trinity. As you should remember, was the young archdeacon Athanasius who stood out in supporting the concepts presented in the Nicene Creed. It was he who composed this creed that bears his name? This is what was believed for centuries, but eventually proved definitely that is not true. The Faith of Christendom observes on page 61: The award of the Athanasian Creed was exposed by seventeenth-century Dutch scholar GJ Voss. It was argued, on the basis of internal evidence, that the document may date from the period between 381 and 428 AD However, there is no certain evidence for a date to as old creed. In fact, until hundreds of years later, there is no reference to it in full form! John J. Moment, in his book on the creeds, so resolutely declares: Athanasius was already dead when he appeared for five hundred years. (We Believe, page 118) See how the Athanasian Creed defines the Trinity: . . . that we worship one God in Trinity and Trinity in Unity, neither confounding the Persons, nor separating the substance. Actually, there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, another of the Holy Spirit; But one thing is the Godhead of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; the glory equal, the majesty coeternal. What is the Father, as the Son, as the Holy Spirit. Uncreated is the Father, the Son uncreated, the Holy Spirit uncreated. Immense is the Father, the Son immense, immense the Holy Spirit. Eternal is the Father, the Son eternal, the Holy Spirit eternal. Yet, no (no) three eternal but one Eternal; so as not (there) three uncreated, nor three immense, but one uncreated and one infinite. Also is the Father almighty, the Son almighty, omnipotent, the Holy Spirit; and yet, no (no) three omnipotent, but one is Omnipotent. So the Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God; and yet they are not three gods, but God is one. So the Father is Lord, the Son is Lord, the Holy Spirit is Lord; and yet there are not three lords, but one is the only Lord. Therefore, as we are obliged, in Christian truth to confess each person singularly as God and Lord, so it is forbidden us, the Catholic religion, say three Gods or three Lords. The Father by none was made, nor created, nor begotten. The only Son of the Father was: not made, nor created, but begotten. The Holy Spirit, the Father and the Son: not made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeds them. One, therefore, is the Father; not three Fathers; one, the Son; not three Sons; one, the Holy Spirit; not three Holy Spirits. And in this Trinity is nothing first or later; nothing more or less; but all three Persons are co-eternal and co-equal to itself. So by all, as has been said above, the Unity is to be worshiped in Trinity and the Trinity in Unity. Therefore, whoever wants to save, so feel (think) of the Trinity. . . . Therefore, the doctrine of the Trinity was finally formulated many hundreds of years after the death of Jesus Christ. In the words of theologian N. Leroy Norquist, men experienced words, phrases honed until that defined the relationship of the three persons of the Trinity so that they could finally say: Unless you believe it, is not a true believer . So, therefore, formulated the concept of God now adopted in most churches. On page 16 of the Manual, we read about the Doctrine of the Trinity, see: The mystery of the Trinity is the central doctrine of the Catholic faith. On it are based all the other teachings of the Church. In the New Testament there is frequent mention of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. A careful reading of these scriptural passages leads us to an unmistakable conclusion: each of these Persons is presented as having qualities that can belong only to God. But if there is only one God, how can this be? The Church studied this mystery with great care and, after four centuries of research, decided to express the doctrine this way: In the unity of the Godhead there are three Persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - really distinct from one another. Thus, in the words of the Athanasian Creed: The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and yet they are not three Gods, but one God. The Doctrine of the Trinity is contrary to reason, for it says that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and yet they are not three Gods, but one God. How to understand this? Says that people are different and that each is God, but yet they are not three Gods but one God, how to understand it rationally? It also says: The only Son of the Father was: not made, nor created, but begotten. Then he says: And in this Trinity is nothing first or later; nothing more or less; but all three Persons are co-eternal self and co-equal. All this created confusion about the person of God, occurred simply because the men, leaving the simplicity of the biblical text, ran after the mans wisdom to learn about God. It would have been much wiser to have believed in the Bible when it says: (John 3:16) God so loved the world that he gave only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (I Corinthians 8: 6) - yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things and for whom we live; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we by him. See what it says: Encyclopaedia Britannica 1974/1979 Volume 10, page: 126. Translation of the text of the Encyclopedia Britannica: Neither the word Trinity, or the explicit doctrine as it appears in the New Testament nor Jesus and his followers intended to contradict the recall (Shema) of the Old Testament: Hear O Israel, our God is one Lord. (Deuteronomy 6: 4) The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. Initially, for two reasons, the requirement of inherited monotheism of the Old Testament, and the implication by the need to interpret the teachings of the Bible into Greek-Roman paganism ... It was not until the 4th century that the distinction of the three in their individuality, and was joined in a single orthodox doctrine; one essence and three persons. The Council of Nicaea in 325 stated the crucial to this doctrine [Trinity] that the Son is of the same essence of the Father formula, although he said very little about the Holy Spirit. Over the next half century, Athanasius defended a more refined formula of Nicaea and by the end of the century, under the leadership of Basil of Caesarea, and Gregory of Nyssa Gregori Nazzianzus (the Cappadocian Fathers) the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it is maintained since. It is understood clearly by the text of the Encyclopedia Britannica, that the doctrine of the Trinity was developed by the Roman Catholic Church, after about 300 years after Jesus death, with strong influence of the Greco-Roman paganism, who worshiped many Gods. LETS SEE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT GOD: (Mark 12: 28-29). ... What is the main commandment of all? Jesus said: The main thing is, Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord ! (John 17: 3). And this is life eternal that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (James 2:19). You believe that God is one? You do well. Even the demons believe, and tremble. (I Cor 8: 5-6). For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords for us, however, there is one God, the Father, from whom all things come and for whom we live; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom vivemos.ele. (John 4: 23-24). But the hour is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit; and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. (Isaiah 45: 5). I am the Lord and there is none else; besides me there is no God; I will gird you, though you do not know me. (Rom 1: 7). Amen. (Look at the PAI has Immortality). (Colossians 3:17) - And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. (Jude 25) To him, the only God our Savior be data, through Jesus Christ our Lord, the glory, the greatness, the power and authority, in all ages, now and forever ! Amen. (. Revelation 7:10) And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne and to the Lamb, belong to salvation. (Rev. 22: 1). Then he showed me the river of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Rev. 22: 3). Never again will there be any curse. It is the throne of God and of the Lamb. His servants shall serve Him. (Rom 15: 6). So that with one accord and one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 1: 3). Noted above, only 54 verses of the New Testament that gives us all the base believe there is one God, the Father of Jesus.
