Here are some pictures from todays Choosing an Accountant and different types of legal structures seminar hosted by Craig McKie, Number Crunching Specialist from CNJ Accounting. This seminar was very well received by our Acorns who said he was very knowledgeable and knows his stuff and commented that theyre now clearer on what questions they should be asking their accountant. The three key takeaways from this mornings great seminar were: 1) Do you have the time, knowledge and discipline to do your accounts? If you don’t, get it out your business and in the hands of an accountant you trust and who understands your business. 2) If youre pitching for investment on behalf of your business, make sure you are, or have someone along with you who knows the numbers. 3) For peace of mind, always look for professional accreditation when choosing an accountant. Remember and dont be afraid to ask your accountant questions. You need someone to be a sounding board to say maybe thats not the best idea and thats absolutely fine. You live and learn.
