Here are some pictures of the work weve been doing today. We sorted out the boxes of cookery, gardening, health, childcare, crafts, home maintenance, fashion, etc books. We found and put out more travel books. We sorted the childrens books so that some are in boxes and others are ready to go on the spinner, but they wont be put out until the last minute because theyll block our front door. (There are one spinner and about half a dozen extra boxes of childrens books.) We put out the rest of the arts section, including poetry and lit crit, and also the collectables. We sorted out the foreign language books; there isnt room to display them properly yet so they are in four boxes on the floor, and we hope people interested in them will be able to bend down for a rummage. We avoided standing on the squashed slug that had somehow got into the middle of the pavement - but dont worry, do come to the booksale next weekend - the slug remnants will be all cleaned away. This year, we not only have more books than ever before, we have masses more books than ever before! Weve been given some really good stuff.
