Here are the facts. Cochran wasnt fired for being Christian. He was fired for distributing a book he published without permission, which violated his hiring guidelines. Nor was this a violation of his free speech rights since, had he asked for permission, the county would have beem seen to endorse his homophobic viewpont had they permitted it. So they would have been within their rights to deny him permission to publish WHILE HE WAS CHIEF. And he still violated the rules by distributing it at work, not to mention violating the civil rights of his gay co-workers by taking an official and published stance against them as their superior officer. He would only have a case if he had prayed and witnessed the Gospel and others who did likewise were also fired.
