FORECAST FOR TROPICAL STORM GORIO Tropical Storm Gorio now in vicinity of Catbalogan, Samar, moving northwest at 19kph. Tropical Storm Gorio made landfall over Hernani, Eastern Samar at 8:00am, June 29. It will again make landfall in Burias and in southern Quezon. Tropical Storm Gorio has max. winds of 65kph near the center & gustiness of up to 80kph. Signal #1: Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Batangas, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, Bataan, Bulacan, Zambales, Tarlac, La Union, Benguet, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Metro Manila, Southern Leyte, Capiz, Aklan, northeastern Iloilo, northern Cebu including Camotes & Bantayan Signal #2: Masbate including Ticao & Burias, Sorsogon, Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Marinduque, Quezon including Polillo, Samar Provinces, Leyte, Biliran Low-lying & mountainous areas under signal nos. 1, 2 must be on alert for possible floods, landslides. WARNING: Rains with gusty winds over Metro Manila Sunday afternoon until Monday. NDRRMC: LGUs, MMDA have been told that Tropical Storm Gorio will be felt in Metro Manila Sunday-Monday. Tropical Storm Gorio expected to leave PH Area of Responsibility on July 1, Monday. PREEMPTIVE EVACUATION NDRRMC: SOP, those living in low-lying areas lumikas na agad, para hindi sila maging biktima. NDRRMC: Yan ang importante sa disaster management, ma-warningan natin ang mga tao na lumikas na sila to attain zero casualty. SEA TRAVEL PH Coast Guard has suspended operations of light seacraft in Matnog, Maasin, Catbalogan, Surigao, & Butuan. NDRRMC says over 5,400 passengers stranded. "Wag na magbiyahe, masa-stranded lang kayo, Bicol-Samar, Leyte-Surigao." REMINDER FOR BILLBOARD OWNERS IN METRO MANILA NDRRMC calls on advertisers to take down their billboards in Metro Manila within the next 24 hours, or before Gorio hits Sunday afternoon.
