Here are the latest posts from the Debby Burroughs Support Page which are both encouraging. Thank you all for praying for her!! These posts are from Debbys sister Dawn Burroughs: Dr. Ellis stopped by this evening and reassured me that this is a baby steps process. He said that all of her clinical stats look good and they will just keep trying to get her off of the ventilator every day until they are successful. He said her pathology came back good and she is now considered to be without cancer! (Funny how that was the most important thing just a week ago). Her chest X-ray from today looked a little worse than yesterday, but he said thats not all that unusual. Sorry for my little pity party post earlier...I know she is strong willed and will get through this. I look forward to having it all behind us. _________ Here is the most recent post: Well, it just goes to show you that you should never underestimate someones determination and willpower...I left the hospital at 6:30 pm after a long day of trying to keep Debby from pulling her tube out. At 7pm, she succeeded in removing it all by herself . The nurse said he had to admire her, as she was able to maneuver herself, with her hands strapped down, so that she could grab it and pull it out! Thankfully, she didnt do herself any harm; they have her on a bypap (?) and her oxygen levels remain strong. Woo-hoo!!! Go Deb!!
