Go around the group and mention some of the things that you are grateful to God for in your life? 2) In Jeremiah 29:11, God says For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. What are you believing God for in the future both personally and for our church? 3) The Church in the book of Acts was a thriving community that experienced growth and impacted communities. 2000 years later, the Church is alive and well! What are the hallmarks of a great 21st church and how can each of us play our part in making it happen? What benefits does a thriving Church have on a town (like Loughborough)? 4) Bill Hybels wrote The local church is the hope of the world. Mention some of the challenges and benefits of being part of a community. Why is it healthier to do life in community than in isolation? 5) Jesus said Go into all the world and share the good news (Mark 16:15). How can each of us play our part in ensuring we stay outwardly focussed? Do you find it easy to share your faith with your unchurched friends & colleagues? When was the last time you did this? How can we get better? 6) Alpha is a brilliant 10 part course that introduces unchurched people to the Christian faith. Its relaxed and informal - allowing people to ask any question they want in a safe and non-threatening environment. Take a minute to write down a list of people you could buy a ticket for the Alpha launch dinner next Wednesday night (22nd October). Then each person take some time to pray over your list.
