Here at AHS, our mission is to find life-long matches for all of the animals who come under our care. This is exactly what happened with Tigger. Tigger was adopted by Beth T many years ago, and though Tigger is no longer with us, his story is beautiful. Thank you, Beth, for giving Tigger a happy home for 15 years! Heres Beths story on Tigger, the wonderful cat: You adopted Bob to me back in 1998. You guys were so excited I was interested in him since he had been there so long that you let me take him home that day! I cannot thank you enough. He turned out to be the best friend Ive ever had. I did rename him Tigger and he was true to his name! You know the song from Winnie the Pooh about how the wonderful thing about Tiggers is Tiggers are a wonderful things? He SURE was! Tigger moved with me to California back to Texas, then back to California, and finally back to Texas again and was a constant companion to me. He was the best cat anyone could ever ask for. He passed away last year unfortunately, but when I took him home way back then, you guys had estimated he was 7 to 9 years old at that time – you do the math! He must have been well over 20 when I finally lost him. I still miss him very much but he will live in my heart forever. He was the greatest and I want you to know I appreciate you trusting him to me and I am forever grateful. #monthofthanks #givethanks
