Here at UMKC Physics, we are always concerned for your safety and truth in advertising. We just learned after the purchase of a blue laser pointer from Amazon that if far exceeded the federal power safety limit. It is supposed to be limited to 5 milliwatts but we measured it at 28! Doing some research it turns out that ALL of the lasers they were selling exceeded the limit. So now they are testing them and only selling the low powered ones. This limits you mostly to the red ones. Darn! I should have bought a pile of them before this got out.
