Here at the Pet Ring Foundation weve just been overwhelmed with phone calls and applications for assistance. We have found that the need for help is most definitely there, in fact usually our funds for emergency visits are gone within the beginning of the month. So after careful review of our policy and procedures, bylaws, mission statement and our budgets; The Board of Directors had meetings with our accountant and next week the meeting with our attorney were proceeding in a little bit different of a manner. We will still help folks but were going to be doing something along the line of using our assistance as mission revenue. When we help folks they will be required to pay back between 40-70 percent. This way we can help other people with the money paid back by those that can. This of course will be over a long period of time but with enough people paying it forward we will be able to help more people instead of turning away individuals when our funds are depleted. We of course will still pay 100‰ of those that qualify and can not afford to repay a percentage. The Pet Ring Foundation has paid $19,258.00 in medical assistance just since January of 2014 and we have a waiting list of 15 applicants requiring surgeries. With donations being at an all time low we had to move in a different direction if were going to continue the work we do. So please be patient with us as we move into this new transition. We are still working harder then ever to aquire the mobile spay unit so we can offer low cost to free spays and neuters monthly however donations are still urgently required and greatly appreciated. We are committed to helping the Casper fur-owners but this transition will take several weeks as we change our bylaws and get things in line with the appropriate government agencies. So please in the mean time spread the word that we need donations for the mobile clinic, but at this time due to the waiting list please do not refer us for emergency assistance. We look forward to the future and being able to help any and all who apply. We will of course continue to aid metro animals and continue assisting with spaying and neutering to the general public. Thank you Preston Pilant Executive Director
