Here below you will find a statement sign by a number of Russian intellectuals, published both on the Russian Government’s homepage and in the newspaper Izvestia, only recently. It is the most astonishing singular document sign by such number of prominent intellectual individuals, un-preceded even under the Soviet era, when many of them had already gain their positions and power attached, such as Tsereteli, Z.K., President of the Russian Academy of Arts. And there are others, which come as surprises to many of us such as D.P. Bak, The Director of the Russian National Museum of Literature. In the list we find some with know anti-Semitist views, some vith extreme racist views, and some with what should be labelled as ultra right-wing nationalists. We are talking about ultra right wing nationalist here. The petition brings bright light to the ongoing verbal propaganda emerging from the Russian Government and its President. Due to this fact alone, against its own purpose I presume, the petition firmly scrutinises any democratic argument emerging from the Russian Government, against the supposed neo-fascist coup detat that took in Ukraine, as it were. These people are not democrats and do not prove any shield against the ongoing political tyranny in Russia. The very opposite, in fact. They support the Kremlin and they support the ongoing occupation of Crimea. Subsequently they promote war in Europe as a result. If you have any personal or professional affiliation to someone on the list it is about time contacting the individual in question in purpose to convince him or her to instantly withdraw the signature. ----- Statement Figures of Russian Culture in Support for President Putin’s Politics in the Crimea and Ukraine In times when the destinies of the Crimea and our compatriots living there are being decided, we, the responsible workers of Russian culture, cannot remain indifferent and cold-hearted observers.
