Here in Bristol with another lovely couple from Slovakia Pavol Surda and Suzzane Surda . Both working in the medical profession , Pavol is intrigued by some of the facts regarding suicide . In Slovakia when one attends the GP with symptoms of depression the GP will automatically refer the client to specialist rather than prescribe medication . Hence in Slovakia the suicide rate is 10 per 100,000 where as in the UK and Ireland it is 17 per 100,000 people . Thats almost double . Of course our government will dispute these figures because they cover up the suicide rate by calling almost half of all suicides accidental or misadventure . Yah right ! They must take us all for fools . Ok well Im not going to go on anymore for today . Just like it say its a real pleasure to be in the company of two lovely people tonight and thanks very much for having me in your home . Ive learnt a few things here tonight.
