Here in MN in the winter, our houses tend to get sealed up pretty tight against the elements. Every now and then we hear about carbon monoxide poisoning in places where theres no monitor with alarm. It occurred to me that resentment is like the carbon monoxide poisoning of relationships. It can build up silently, without anyone really seeing or noticing it and then it can be deadly. Life can just be going on as usual, no attention paid to the deadly poison thats seeping into the relationship even as we know theres a risk in any relationship. We need a resentment monitoring system with an alarm that says Pay attention! Levels are too high and you must act now. just like houses have carbon monoxide monitors with an alarm. How about if you make your relationship health and strength your New Years Resolution this year? Isnt it at the very least as important as exercise, diet and budgeting? Make this one resolution you actually keep. Ill even help!
