Here is BYUs pre game show--please excuse the funky opening with the sudden Santa Clara Vanguard-ish costume change. I was working backwards and I dont know how to fix THAT particular issue. BUT ANYWAY--when you write for a university band, they have traditions and expectations beyond the normal half time show standard stuff. During a pregame, bands are to get the audience energized and into it. So....this what we aim to do with this show. BYU is going through some numbers issues because of a new mandate for the Mormon missionaries to start their missions earlier, so the band suffered a substantial hit in numbers. Over the next 2-3 years, things will start to return to normal and ((knocking on a wooden Book of Mormon)) hopefully Ill still be on staff helping them out when theyre back up to 250. If my head doesnt explode by then.....enjoy the video. Or not.
