Here is Day 4 of 5 of thankfulness posts. I am posting three things for which I am thankful every day and tagging 3 unsuspecting victims, too. :D I think that you will be able to tell that I have spent a lot of time in the car today. 1. I am thankful for music: music with a good beat, music with clever lyrics, and creative music. Today, Im especially thankful for Christian music. Some hipsters look down their noses at Christian pop music, but I see it differently. Yes, the musical content is often not innovative, but usually, the lyrics are the point. I am a very musical and verbal person, so I especially love listening to Christian music that has many direct quotes or references to Scripture. Its a way to keep my mind on God while driving or doing mundane tasks. Its also a way to turn a bad attitude or sorrow over to God. The Bible says that God will keep us in perfect peace when our minds are fixed on Him (Isaiah 26:2), and Christian music is my way to do that. 2. A reliable car is something for which to be very thankful. Our car is turning 5 years old in a few weeks, and it has been so trouble-free, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. We have used it for everything from hauling groceries and going on cross-country car trips to transporting children we were tutoring to and from the school.( Oh, and keep my husband employed while treating yourself to the best minivan on the market: buy a Chrysler Town and Country!) 3. Along the same lines, thank God for my trusty GPS. I have zero directional ability. Really. I cant find my backside with both hands. With the GPS, I have had the courage to work in Detroit without fear of getting lost. I am able to do easier things like taking my dear mother-in-law to the airport from an unfamiliar town with more confidence, too. And now for the tagging.
