Here is a Madame Alexander early Elise doll. She is 16.5 tall and came out with Cissy, Binnie and Winnie Walker. Her date (with hard plastic face) is 1956-59. She has aqua sleep eyes, rubber arms and hands, hard plastic torso and legs. This one came pretty filthy and discolored. She used to be a walker, not any more. A piece is rattling around inside that broke off. Would need replacement part to fix that :( I spent a few hours on her this afternoon. Elise dolls are unique in that they not only have elbow joints, but ankle joints too, so they can wear flats, heels, or ballet shoes. I have another Elise brunette in a tutu. I have an Elise tagged vintage Alexander dress coming, but for now she is modeling this French drop waist number from Georgette Bravot.
