Here is a comment one of our readers left on the story bellow: Whilst I think all of us understand that women can be as corrupt as men, there is some merit to this call for more women to stand. There is no doubt that women are less prone to getting involved in boys club behaviour and you just dont see them running around town with brown paper bags throwing their weight around. The fact is though, whoever is elected becomes a puppet of the Sydney masters, no matter what party. The only solution is for the Hunter to become its own state and if that state is run by women, Id be happy with that too, by Jhnhllns. What do you think?
