Here is a great description of the SGUT 21/21 challenge from the main man at Active4Less Brandon Harris As I hope you know, I put myself on Sols 21:21 program 23 days ago. The good news is that I have lost 11lbs and 3.6% body fat which brings me down to 14.5%, which is the lower normal range for my great age! I have worked out every day for 21 days and I work as hard as possible when I work out. The odd thing is that I have lost a tiny bit of muscle mass. When Alex did this he put on 2kgs of muscle! The reason I mention this is that I did more CV and classes than Weights compared to the optimum as recommended by the program. I hope this really makes you undertand the importance of resistance exercise. There is no point in losing weight if what you are losing is muscle. It will cost you dearly when you return to normal as the body will not be able to burn the calories required. This is a key reason this program beats shakes and low food intake diets. I have basically been eating lean meats and salads or veg in the evenings with low carbs every meal, but protein in every meal as well. I have not felt hungry and I have a lot of energy, but best of all I am not in a rush to change what I have been doing.
