Here is a great example of a geofact--it is limestone and was found on Elkhorn creek in Kentucky. eyes almost appear to be bi-conically drilled but there is absolutely no evidence of drilling, pecking, grinding, polish or use wear nor is there any evidence the natural contour of the stone is altered in any way. It is made from limestone, which is a very rarely utilized lithic material. Figural or effigy artifacts are very rare and generally speaking these were very special objects to the first people so one rarely has to use any imagination to visualize exactly what it is. Tools pretty much have clear evidence of use wear. This is, unfortunately just a cool rock.
