Here is a great example of how proponents manipulate fluoridation data and turn it into propaganda. The first graph is widely used by proponents to show that since 1967, as the percentage of communities fluoridating their water increased, dental decay decreased overall in the U.S. Now we all know this graph is itself BS since correlation does not imply causation, and during this same time period their was a decrease in the use of bell bottom pants that also correlates with the increase in fluoridation. But what happens when you see what the proponents cut out of their prize graph? What happens when you look at dental decay rates several decades prior to the use of fluoride or fluoridation? See graph #2, and that there was ALREADY a steady reduction. No one knows why, but we DO KNOW IT WASNT DUE TO FLUORIDE:
