Pastor Saeed’s health as he has been beaten and tortured and has been dealing with a great deal of pain and internal bleeding. c. Persecuted Christians worldwide. That the Lord would give them grace and strength to endure the abuse and persecution and that they may be a shining light for Jesus wherever they are at. Phil 1:12 Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. d. Families of persecuted Christians. That their children would grow strong in their faith in Jesus and not be resentful; That the Lord would give the spouses strength and patience to wait and to be a light for Jesus to their communities. • Rebekka & Jacob (Saeed & Nahgmehs children) e. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit and Spiritual awakening in Iran. That many Muslims would come to know Jesus in Iran and throughout the Middle East. Acts 8:1 On that day (Stephen’s martyrdom) a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. 2 Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. 3 But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison. 4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Matt 5:44 Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. f. Revival in the Church as we gather in unity to pray for the persecuted Christians. May the LORD awaken our hearts and minds to see the need for the gospel to be proclaimed. Phil 1:14 Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.
