Here is a letter from the Pusts: Missionaries to North Dakota. Hi from the Pusts, Welcome to fall! It is been fast moving these last weeks as we have been out in a number of churches. We have also been busy helping with an outreach campaign here at our home church in Oregon. (The outreach has made us eager to be in Williston doing the same thing!) We have been the recipients of a number of blessings including food and some generous love offerings. We praise the Lord for his provision. We are always excited at the enthusiasm of people wondering about our ministry. From people we meet every day to those in churches where we are ministering, there is always curiosity about the Bakken region. It is interesting too how many people, especially in churches, have connections with Williston-- friends & family, unsaved, and those professing Christ, all who are there because of the available work. Few people can associate with what is going on in Africa or Australia mainly because they do not have a personal connection. Personally, I have never known any resident in a foreign country that lives in a community where someone is going to church plant. Yet, we hear this connection with Williston over and over: “My son-in law, my nephew, my ex-co-worker is there and used to go to church.” Or, “He’s there and, no, he doesn’t know the Lord.” We have even been contacted by pastors stating that they have church members there and need a local church for fellowship and accountability. Can we just reemphasize the opportunity that we have as fundamental Baptists to reach a thriving population with the Gospel? Recently I was approached by a couple who had just moved away from Dickinson, North Dakota. They asked, “Why not start a church in Dickinson? We just moved from there because there is nothing.” 70,000 people with nothing really of like faith and practice. Pray that God would move the hearts of people for the need and that God would use our ministry to stir a fire for the need of the Gospel in their own communities. The local church is still God’s plan for today. We are trusting the Lord as we make preparations to move to Williston in March. We are excited to see what God will do and how He will provide. Thank you so much for praying for us. Here are some prayer requests: -continue to pray that our house in Henry would sell quickly -pray that we could secure a feasible meeting place in Williston in the next two months -pray that we would have wisdom regarding housing in Williston -pray we could obtain full support In Christ’s service, The Pust Family
