Here is a link from my friend Evren Uzer from University of Gothenburg where Nabeel Hamdi was tutoring students and lecturing on his latest book last week, The Placemakers Guide to Building Communities. Hamdi is one of the pioneers of participatory planning and in his writings sets out a way of thinking on cities that gives precedence to small-scale change over large-scale projects and how power of small changes have huge positive effects. As Hamdi says: ”if you want to make something big you need start from small things”.
