About The Artists of Ruby Rose Studio Lisa Lackey attended Ohio University earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. From Ohio, Lisa moved to Vermont to work on her Master’s in Art Therapy. While in Vermont she painted commercial event backdrops, helped organize art classes for senior citizens, and co-owned a restaurant called the River Run. After Vermont, her gypsy nature moved her to Florida, New Jersey, and finally back to her roots in Central Ohio. Inspired by her passion for large scale painting projects, interior design, and small business ownership, Lisa easily moved into the field she enjoys so much today— creating beautiful living spaces for the clients of Ruby Rose Studio. Jennifer Belt attended the University of Akron earning a BA in Psychology in 1998. In 1999 she began to freelance as an interior decorator for friends and family and in a short time moved into professional consultations in Columbus, Ohio. As the demand for Jennifer’s time as an interior decorator escalated, she moved to Columbus and started her own interior decorating business, Interiors by Jen. In need of a faux finisher for a client’s home project, Jen was introduced to Lisa Lackey in 2004. After working together on several small projects, Jen & Lisa decided to join forces and Ruby Rose Studio was born in 2006. It began as a small decorative painting and interior design consultation firm. By 2008, their services included creative wall and ceiling design, custom trim and cabinetry, and furniture re-finishing. In 2009, they launched their first line of original artwork with great success, adding yet another layer of focus to their business. Today, clients reach out to Ruby Rose Studio when they are seeking all things unique, creative, and one-of-a-kind– All Things Ruby Rose!
