Here is a little tip for all the guys thinking of building headers or Intake manifolds. 90% of the fabricators you go to are going to screw you on the plate that is bolted to the engines head. Dont ask how I know. No matter how many times I tell them that the surface needs to be level they will screw up. Their idea of level and mine seem to be two different planets. No matter how many many times I tell them this needs to be flat they will not get it right. So the smart way to do it is to start with a laser cut plate. Which is perfectly flat and accurate. If you do this your headers will work much better. If you get this right. Even if you just weld on a series of pipes it will work better. You can have the best design in the world. But if the sealing surfaces are not perfect your going to loose power. Anyway long story short. If you want a good starting point for your header project. Then get the most critical part right. Contact RDD for plates in Mild steel and SS. For the exhaust and in Aluminum for the Intake. We are offering them for most common cars sold in India. Honda City / Esteem / Baleno etc. And if its a rare car just send us a gasket and we will make it to match. With micron level accuracy.
