Here is a photo I posted a while ago and its looking East from Grove Street Bloomfield on the Silver Lake Branch. The building on the left is the Chevrolet House Building. The cars attached are loaded with crates of car parts for foreign shipment from the Chevrolet Boxing plant. Parts were brought in by boxcar and crated up for export shipment. Usually the cars were unloaded at the Hoboken freight yard and loaded onto ships at the pier. The building to the right is Charms Candies. The yard hasnt changed much as seen in the photos below. Basically it was the same till the light rail came in.
